This morning Peri had her 18m doctors appointment for immunizations. Luckily it was only one and those crocodile tears resulted in a trip to the zoo. I didn't take our nice camera and I am kicking myself because I ended up wanting pictures of the miss. Thank heavens for cell phone cameras.

I am posting from my phone so pictures may not be in order. They have statues all over so she is on the lion, in a clam, and by the elephant.
Then we played in the little people farm area and Peri seemed to really like it. We also found this crazy cactus slide. Peri loved going down again and again. Yay for mornings at the zoo.

18 Months

I can't believe my baby is 18 months old. This time last year we were getting her ears pierced, now she is a running, jumping, climbing machine. As you will see from the pictures she is still a drooly little thing, and we love her more then ever. I love being able to spend all day with my munchkin, she teaches me so much and always makes me remember to make time for the little things and enjoy the sweet and not so sweet things she does. She is growing up so fast and getting so big and learning so many new things. Here are some things about our little Peri :
Wearing size 18-24m clothes
she can count to 3 -she loves lining her rubber duckies up and counting them in the tub-
Loves the i-pad but is very impatient in waiting for things to load - whenever we are on it she runs over
   saying "game game game" so she can play too- She also likes to use our fingers to make it work
Loves helping unload the dishwasher and has even started trying to put the silverware away -opens the
   drawer and puts it in random places-She comes running when she sees it open, even when dishes are
   dirty.
Loves water bottles and will try to drink from them
Loves to jump -see the video on facebook-
Loves the bath and will sit in it in the dark with no water and play with her bath toys -only when she
   can get in the bathroom on her own, or someone is with her-
Loves climbing on EVERYTHING
She is a total daddys girl - every morning he is at school she calls for him and when he's home she's
   stuck like glue.
Peri still loves books and will take a book over any toy. Her favorite seems to be The Best Mouse
     Cookie - she says "cookie" over and over when we read it, and we read it over and over.
Likes to wear hats -calls headbands "hats" - and will actually keep them on.
She LOVES to take off her shoes - especially in the car-
Her favorite food is Chicken Nuggets and slices of ham
Favorite treat is M&M mini's or graham crackers -she calls them cookies-
Favorite show/movie is still Little Einsteins - she obsessed
Very big on helping make dinner and always wants to see what your doing on the stove

One of my favorite thing she does is she will grab for Branden and I's heads and turn them so we will kiss and she just gets the biggest grin and giggles - oh it's adorable.

Another favorite of mine is when I hold her she will put her arms under mine and lay on my chest just like she's trying to hold me tight. She loves it and I love that she likes to be snuggled.

Ah I just love this little munchkin - I can't get enough of her sweet giggles and darling little smile - today while we were taking her 18m pictures she was making the cutest faces and random new smiles, it was so cute the way she almost posed for us. She has got the sweetest personality, she's so curious about everything around her and helps me see things in a new light. She is also so smart, I am amazed everyday at the things she does.

Nursery!

Well today was the day I have been looking forward to with all of gratitude, happiness, and a little bit of sadness. Today was Miss P's very first day in nursery. -they let her in 2 days early- My feelings of this day consist of gratitude that we will finally have a mostly quiet primary class and can enjoy singing time with out baby chasing. Happiness for much of the reason gratitude has. And Sadness because my baby is growing up so fast but I'm so glad I get to be around for it all.

If you know Peri you know she does NOT do to hot with strangers or people she doesn't see to often unless Branden or I are there to hold her, so you can imagine my shock when the nursery drop off went like this :

-Set up primary lesson early so I could take her to nursery.
- Take her in and set her down -she goes right for climbing on the table- I tell her teachers where we'll be if they need us and jam out before she can notice I'm gone.

Before singing time I wanted to peek in the window to see how she was doing and they let me know they just took her to the classroom we'd just left to find us for a diaper change. When they find me Peri is happy as can be. I get her changed and take her back to nursery

- open the door to hand her to the teacher and she goes right to her and doesn't even look back!

I was so proud of my little princess and very impressed with how well she went. Now when we went to pick her up is another story - she was sobbing when we opened the door to get her -I guess she was fine until parents started to pick up kids, that's when she lost it- clearly it was nap time.

All in all it was a great day for her and I'm glad it went so well because I'd been very worried about it. Here is a view of my big brave girl.

Little monkey

Little miss has always been a climber, she's just like her daddy, and lately it has become more apparent then ever. And I am not so sure I am loving it. I love how big my little spit fire is getting but do not like the potential danger of her falling off the table onto the tile. I think it's the mom in me.

My computer isn't working so I have to post from the iPad, hence why pictures aren't in order. The first are of Peri at the mall playground, then a few of her playing on that dangerous aforementioned table. The one of her in the apron was from last night when she helped me make dinner. The one with the water bottle is her dumping on the floor in wonderment instead of drinking it. My little monkey has come up with a few more sayings such as : "ew wet" from when I said it after she got water everywhere. Now she says it all the time. "oh look" "I help you"
And ever since Emily came over and we chatted about her getting pizza for dinner, Peri wont stop saying or talking about pizza. And she looooves "oookie" (cookies). Not to mention the "helper" that keeps clearing off my nightstand so she can climb on it.Last night while eating dinner my "helper" was finished eating and bless her little heart, instead of throwing uneaten food on the floor she took my hand and filled it with her left overs until her plate was clean. Then with a big grin said "all done" and handed me her plate. This little monkey cracks me up. This last picture is from lunch today, she didn't even notice the noodles until I cleaned it off.

Some fun

As Peri gets older she does and says a lot of funny things. Today while unloading the dishwasher my big helper wanted to join in the unloading fun, so with every dish she'd give me she'd say " helper" - I'm not sure if I was helping her or she was helping me, all the same it was so cute. Then we took a break and played with the kitchen set. She loves to put things into the compartments it has. For example the other night I was playing kitchen with her to keep her busy and when I opened the dishwasher found a fake plant from my counter, later I found a bowl of hers in the microwave.

Peri also has a thing for sitting in laundry baskets regardless of clothes being in it.

Lately if she gets told no or not to do something she says " pat pat pat" (its a Little Einstein's thing) or "love you"

As soon as we say we're going somewhere she waits at the door until we leave.

When we pull into our complex or walk in the door she says " we're home"

Every time we get on the freeway she says "go dad go go go" when he needs to accelerate.

Peri loves to play in her room or on the stairs and will continually go between the two. It's so fun to listen to her play when we can hear it downstairs

This little ray of sunshine sure does keep us on our toes and the laughter flowing. Sure do love her silly antics.

Christmas

Nana gave her this adorable Xmas dress and matching hat -

I can't believe how fast Christmas came and went. We decided to be really low key and spend our Christmas just the three of us. We have never spent a holiday with out spending time with at least one of our families so it was very different for both Branden and I. It worked out perfectly though because then Peri was really able to enjoy her gifts and we could stop opening them when she got overwhelmed - which she did- We have church at 10 so we kept the miss upstairs so she wouldn't see what Santa brought until after. She was so wiggly and antsy during church, like she just couldn't wait to get home.

Santa brought her a kitchen set, the block thing, Little Einsteins, and sippy cups in her stocking

She loves the kitchen set, especially opening and closing everything while putting things into them. She has taken a great interest in the microwave and insists on putting everything in it, including her clothes. And she just loves talking on her phone, we keep finding it in the weirdest places.

This dancing Mickey she has a love/hate relationship with. She loves to hold him but kind of freaks out when he dances and just backs away slowly. She has the same relationship with the Lucky Ducks game we got her.

Peri got overwhelmed with opening things, so she waited until the next morning to finish - unfortunately the camera was put away so I missed the photo op.

She got this adorable hat with a matching apron and baking utensils that she enjoys wearing around the house. All in all she made out like a bandit and so far has enjoyed everything she got, from the fun new toys to the darling new clothes.

I got : cake pop maker and supplies, 2 cook books, a recipe book that I can add to, sunglasses, Harry Potter movies, the newest Harry Potter xbox game, and some make up
We got : gift cards, an air mattress, the Kinect for xbox, a few kinect games, calendars, a book

It was very low key but just right. This last week has been nice to get Christmas put away and just spend time together, We've gone to the park, went to zoo lights, played at the mall, and had some fun playing our new games.

17 months

I can't believe it, the miss is 17 months and it's Christmas eve already. This little sassy pants has got the funnest personality. She is so cute, and curious with everything she does.

Favorite :
     Show - Little Einsteins - she gets so excited when it comes on and asks to watch it multiple times daily.
      Movie - she is branching out her movie realm lately and enjoys cartoon musicals - note: she does not like Beauty and the Beast, it scares her
      Activities - reading, climbing, stairs, throwing things down the stairs, playing with her toys or in her castle.
      Toy - she has a pink bunny that come everywhere with us and she sleeps with
   She is still in size 3 diapers- 18-24months in clothes- has almost 6 teeth on top and 2 on bottom (she is getting a 3rd bottom)

The other night our home teacher brought over some freshly made cookies - After trying one Branden left the kitchen to bring me one. While he was away Peri reached up and pulled the plate containing the remaining cookies down to the floor - (luckily we'd just cleaned them) So she picks up two of the cookies and excitedly brought them to me on the couch before returning to the kitchen for more, by now Branden had got them picked up and out of reach. We put her in her chair and let her have the ones she brought to me. - She was so messy afterward that she definitely needed a bath and we had to use q-tips to get the chocolate out of her ears.

We sure love this little girl, I don't know what we'd do without her. I really do love being able to spend so much time with her. She teaches me so many things and how to look at life the way she does. She is so curious and mischievous. So sweet and snuggley. She is getting so big and it is so fun to watch her grow.

Peri has grown so fond of opening presents that waiting until Christmas has not been easy for her - the other day we received a package from the Jorgensens and Branden asked Peri to help him out with it. While he was pulling presents out to put under the tree Peri got a hold of one for her and just tore into it, opening it completely before we could get it away, then she picked up the discarded wrapping paper and put it back into the box she'd taken it from. On the bright side she got some darling homemade jammies and it somewhat curbed her appetite for opening presents for a few days.

Bucket Head

Peri got a bucket full of legos, while she enjoys the legos she loves the bucket they came in. She puts it on her head and runs around laughing. It's not just this bucket either its anything she can put on her head.

She even tried to go up the stairs with it on. She was successful but I was behind her the whole time and it took awhile.

Run Courtney Run

Call us crazy, which I feel like we are sometimes, but we have up and decided to run a 17 k. Yup a 17 k you ask, how long is that? 10.6 miles. For people that know me, that is a lot, because I am not a runner. Well not really anyway, but we're trying. Anyway on March 17 (St Patricks day) we are doing the Kiss Me I'm Irish Run. You can find out more about it here - We are super excited for this new thing and Peri loves riding in the stroller while we run. Yay for a family event the 3 of us can do together. Why is this unlike anyother sweet race? At the end everyone gets a kiss just for finishing, you get a picture with the leprechaun mascot, and after the race is an entire festival. oh, and free beer for running the race. Not that the free beer part matters as we don't drink, but still pretty fun. Yay!

1 - Branden and I joked around about getting married for 2 months before realizing it was weird that it wasn't weird to talk about marriage. Well then we talked about it and 2 years and a baby later we are happy as can be.

2 - I secretly have a love hate relationship with Arizona. I love being just the 3 of us and having our own place and getting to rely on each other. I hate that I don't really have friends and getting kind of lonely while Branden is at school all day.

3 - I can't wait to start working. I love being home with Peri all the time but for the aforementioned reason of wanting to meet more people.

4 - I hate the sound of someone chomping their gum or chewing ice - it drives be nuts

5 -I miss school and learning new things all the time, but now I have a little munchkin and she teaches me new things every day and I wouldn't trade it for the world

7 - when I was little and my siblings picked on me I would "run away" to a house being built, find a quiet spot and read my book until I thought my mom would be home.

Chirstmas Decorations

I am so excited for Christmas this year. We get to be just our little 3-some this year and I am sad and thrilled at the same time. This year we can begin creating even more traditions as a family. As I mentioned before, we needed a place to put the presents from our families over Thanksgiving so naturally we needed to put up the Christmas tree, then because all of our decorations were already out it just made sense to finish putting them up.

Thanksgiving

This is our first year being away from everyone for the holidays so we decided to remedy this by going to Vegas for Thanksgiving. Let me just say it seems like 6 hours is a really really long drive but Peri did amazing up until the last 1/2 hour. We rolled into Vegas Tuesday and checked in to Circus Circus. We just kind of hung out and unwound from the long drive until my family got there. We went to a delicious dinner at Macaroni Grill with my mom, dad, and Cody. It was so good to see them, it make me ache for more time with my family. Wednesday the Jorgensens rolled into town for the rest of the weekend. We had a blast shopping eating, playing, and just laughing at our little princess. We went to Ceasars Palace H&M and cheesecake factory on Wednesday - Thursday we hung out at Circus Circus and had Thanksgiving dinner at their buffet - It was so yummy - Then we went to Mandalay Bay's Aquarium it was rather neat and Peri loved it. We played on the strip at M&M and Coke factory before heading back to our rooms for bed.

Friday we played at the Adventure Dome at Circus Circus, Peri got to ride the carousel and the grown ups rode the roller coasters. Then we braved "Black Friday" and went shopping - made it to H&M again but didn't find much, then to the Fashion Show Mall - again didn't find much their either. When our feet were sore from walking we went back to the Adventure Dome for more play time. Nana took Peri back to her room for bed and the rest of us rode more rides, played mini golf and midway games. Around midnight I wanted a doughnut so we headed for krispy kreme in the hotel lobby for a treat before bed. While waiting for doughnuts Branden and I got our gamble on with the penny slots and came out $15 bucks ahead. YAY go us. Saturday brought another long drive with it but we finally made it home - we had to bring presents from both families back so they wouldn't have to be shipped for Christmas and our car was packed to the brim but we are grateful for the mysterious things we've got under our tree. Sunday we missed Stake Conference (thought it was this week oops) so we

16 Months

-when she wants something (like a bite of what your eating) she flaps her arms like wings
-has to snuggle bunny or some sort of animal when she sleeps
-closes her bedroom door and reads on the floor
- snuggles something and lays down on the floor
- pets you while saying soft
- if you ask her to show you soft she rubs her head like shes smoothing down her hair
- after getting shoes on runs to the door and says "lets go"
- loves to play with the cooking utensils and keeps ruining the whisks (pulls the wires out)
- throws her head back when eating and just laughs
-dances when she hears music

Her favorite movies are still Despicable Me and Tangled - but we're getting to where she'll watch Disney musical movies like Pocahontas and Lion King
Favorite shows are Mickey Mouse Club House and Little Einsteins
Favorite foods are chicken nuggets and corn dogs
Loves juice and liking milk more - does NOT like pop

I, like almost everyone else with internet, am pretty much addicted to pinterest and all it beholds. You can find so many cute ideas, crafts, quotes, pictures, information, and recipes. I even got Branden into by helping me find delicious things to make for dinner - this past week we've tried a few things out - found here crispy parmesan asparagus sticks and ham and cheese rolls. I am also hoping to make these personal chicken pot pies - only 144 calories each. not only is it great to find all these fun things to make but opens up a whole new door to the blogging world and it is fantastic. I've also been making things not found on pinterest - This recipe is so easy and can be made however one likes

1 can refried beans

2 cups rice

1 cup salsa

2 cups cheese

This is the original recipe but I like to chicken in the mix

I made it 2 ways because Branden didn't want a quesadilla so I threw it on a tortilla and into the quesadilla maker for Peri and I and they came out like this

For Branden I rolled up tortillas to make burrito's, set my oven at 350 then put more salsa and cheese on top and cooked them for 10 minutes.

They were so good even Peri ate all of hers, no easy feat these days.

We have also been playing a lot at the mall play place - the one outside our house always has big kids on it and I feel like the one at the mall has less chances of Peri getting hurt. She plays and plays and always makes new little friends to play with until we leave. Some days we only go to the mall so she can play, lucky for us it's not to far and she loves it.

Tomorrow I'm going to make things off of my sweet treats board for Branden to take to his study party for finals week. I've been dying to make treats but didn't want them around to eat so it's the perfect opportunity to get out that baking urge and have them taken away so we wouldn't eat them. I'll be sure to post on the progress!

Craft and a Cutie

Things have begun to slow down here in AZ just in time for them to speed up again. Branden has finals in only 2 weeks, then Thanksgiving trip to Vegas and then before we know it Christmas will be here. I will say that I am very excited to decorate our house for Christmas this year, because right before we moved down I was crafting up a storm and continuing my craftiness down here. - more on that in a minute but first take a look at my cutie -

We spend our days playing outside on the playground, at the mall play place, reading books, taking naps, making messes, helping in the kitchen, drinking apple juice, and sharing lots of precious giggles.

Peri loves the play place at the mall, it was hard for her to stay still long enough for a picture

Peri had 2 Halloween costumes. I was so set on her being a minion from Despicable Me, and it would have worked great if she'd just left her hat on, and her boots had been black. We had plans to take her trick or treating at the swap meet and then to our ward party but I got the flu so we didn't end up doing anything. Luckily she didn't know what she was missing out on, besides the fact we only had 3 trick or treaters come to our door anyway.

Her other costume was a little lamb and she looked ADORABLE. It was fun even though we didn't do much.

Giraffes

We all know how much I LOVE the zoo, Especially the Phoenix Zoo- the 5th largest in the US. While the Jorgensens were here we knew this was one thing we definitely wanted to do. It was the best zoo trip with Peri, she was so into the animals and saying "see it". Making monkey noises and giggling at all the animals she was seeing. It wasn't too hot and a pretty enjoyable day and I'm glad we could spend it with family and Branden didn't have school so he could join in the fun!

On Saturday before Nana and Brittney left we went to the swap meet and picked up this beauty for $10! It was not that price to begin with, we were discussing buying it between Branden and I and the lady was like "you can have it for $10" well.... Sold! And to think I was going to pay the marked price - silly me. Peri loves this thing, especially sitting on it and playing with its hair.

Aquarium

Upon pulling up to the aquarium we found out that it is in fact inside of a mall. Be that as it may, it did not disappoint in the least and neither did the mall, more on that later. They had sharks and rays, fish, jellyfish, an octopus and many other sea creatures. The pictures are slightly grainy because they are all from my phone, but hey at least I remembered to take them this time

they had these everywhere. It gave the ability to see inside the tank as if you were really in it.

This one was Peri's favorite

touch screen right on the floor! it asked a question and you step on the answer. Pretty nifty

Now about this mall, think of it as an really fun outlet mall thats built like a Vegas mall. In a word, AWESOME! Every door has a speaker that tells you where you are coming in - for example we heard "entering entrance 1 in neighborhood 1" yup, thats right every section is referred to as a neighborhood. My little munchkin is 15 months today! I can't believe how fast time is flying by, with how busy we have been its good to have a minute to sit and think about our precious baby girl. For the first time in her life Peri now has her own room and I am in love with how it turned out (so much it gets its own post.....later). She loves to sit on her floor and read books or climb into her rocking chair to read. This kid is a reader just like her mama.

Every morning Peri gets out of bed goes to my nightstand and pulls down my scriptures and starts to flip through them and talks as if reading them. It is such a tender thing to see her do that one day I had to snap a picture. It is amazing how close children are already to Christ and I love seeing that in Peri, be it when she looks upon a picture of him, sees a statue or her happiness of being at church.

Well, we did - the time came and went and we moved to Mesa. I think we will like it here, I will post more about our fun week with the Jorgensen's later. Can I just say they are amazing and have been soooo helpful in our moving and unpacking process. Infact right now they've got Peri out at the park so I can do somethings- boy I will miss them. Peri's room is my favorite. It's so fun and girly - Bonus - She loves is and knows it is HER room. I can't wait to post pictures of it (just as soon as I take them) - I still need to touch up some things- We have officially finished unpacking and begun to play a little with what vacation time the Jorgensens have left with us. Time Flies

Time has gone by so fast it seems. Branden has been gone 8 weeks and we haven't seen him in person for 6 weeks. I am so excited for Thursday when he comes back to Utah for his girls. We miss him and it will be so nice to be together again. It seems as if I have been super busy since he left, studying for tests, getting ready to move, finishing school, and spending time with our biggest joy Peri.

Last night Brittney and I made the most random recipe Jeannine found for dinner - Hope you like Mac & Cheese.......muffins. Oh they were so delicious and perfect for freezing for later use. Just try it, you won't be sorry.

Several weeks ago we went to the backyard and picked apples, Peri loved it and we ended up with so many, We still have a lot to do with them but it was so fun to go out back and get it done.

Last weekend Peri and I got the chance to go to St George just one more time. It was so fun to spend time with family and friends. -thanks girls for coming to breakfast- Friday morning we went to breakfast with friends and then spent most of the day at Brielle's house, where my Grandma Snow and Grandma Jan came to visit, it was so good to see them and have Peri spend time with the Great Grandmas. She had fun playing with Molly and Maggie and all of their toys. Saturday we had a spa day and I worked on everyone waxing, giving facials, and chemical peels. Then we went to lunch and just hang out. It was so fun to spend time with our St George peeps, we are definitely going to miss them.

This week was my last week of school and on my last day we threw a baby shower for one of my favorite instructors - I have several pics but I'm just going to post the one of the table set up- I made cupcakes and those sweet bottle suckers, and my friend Christy made the diaper carriage. I have made so many new and great friends from going to school and I am going to miss those ladies. I know that we have facebook and cell phones so I hope we will keep in touch like we said we would. Especially, Nancy, Sammie, Christy, and Andrea - I love you girls and you'll have to come see us in AZ. I didn't get a pic of us all together but I got a few with some of them.

I realize I am beyond late post this but I don't want to miss anything

Peri has become much more verbal these days, as well as into EVERYTHING
She can go up and down the stair all by herself
can climb up and down from all the beds in the house, the couches, and her rocking chair

She will put a book on her chair, climb up, read it, then get down for a new one.
Peri is beyond smart, her newest trick is turning on and off the blue ray player causing the tv to change channels or the movie to turn off, so she will put her hands in the air and say " I don't know" or "What happened.

While she has many words the latest few are mama, nana, papa, bath, oops, uh oh, oh no, whats that, wow, up, down, cheese, yes, no, enough, monkey sounds, quack, and puppy sounds.

Favorite movies are Tangled and Despicable Me
Loves to turn on dancing Halloween decorations and dance.
Favorite show is little Einsteins

Lately she has been very clingy to me, I think she knows something is up or coming in the next few weeks. Smart girl, because we are moving next week!

That you went to the CIRCUS? I can't even tell you how long it'd been for me, but one of the perks of having a kid is you get to little kid things with a good excuse. The Fully Charged Barnum and Baily circus is in town and upon finding out they were coming we just HAD to buy tickets. It was so fun to take Peri and experience it with her - we got there 1.5 hrs early and were able to see all of the animals, she ooohed and ahhhhed and even growled. There were elephants, horses, and 3 kinds of tigers. We were also able to go down on the floor before the show and meet the characters, play dress up, watch a pre-show, and even learn a dance. The show was so fun and definitely charged. Peri didn't even know where to look because there was so much going on. I think her favorite were the Tigers, she fell asleep before the elephants- anybody else think its totally adorable when the elephants hold each others tails. DARLING. They were probably my favorite. It was such a fun night - thank you Jorgensens for taking us to the circus.

On Friday it rained all day and it was amazing. I truly love fall, the weather, the clothes, boots and scarves. I LOVE it. It was so fun to get Peri dressed to go out. She wore an adorable fuzzy pink hat my mom got her when she was born. Lets not forget her darling goulashes, just what every little girl needs. (it's kinda dark because its from my phone)

Peri has been into everything lately, just follow the paper trail.......

Oh she keeps us on our toes, good thing she is so cute. She can also go up and down the stairs all by herself. She says HI if anyone new walks into the room or if someone leaves it and comes back. It is absolutely adorable. She has become a total mommies girl which is both fun and exhausting, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Her new favorite show is Little Einsteins, and Tangled. When the theme song, or song Rapunzel sings come on she will try to sing it. Another thing this little miss has learned is to throw a temper tantrum. Jumping up and down, yelling and crying included. It is so hard not to laugh when she does this because it really is kinda funny - the first time, now - not so much.

This box had stuff in it but she enjoyed playing in it until she tore it - that chair behind her, she loves to climb up in it all by herself and read her books.

This is a new thing, she started doing in last night, apparently it helped her poop.

I made these super fun trees to decorate my house for Christmas time. Its coming on up.

Relief!

Oh man relief- sweet sweet relief- That is what I am feeling at this moment in time. Today I took the last of my two state exams to get my license. Yesterday was the state written esthetics theory exam - 110 questions and 90 minutes to take it. After clicking the end button on the screen to signal being done, it popped up that I had only missed 16 - leaving me with a 90% on the written exam. I was thrilled as that was my goal and I had yet to score that high on any of the practice exams. Today was the practical portion. I will NEVER let my license lapse so I will NEVER have to take that horrible test again. Was it that hard? not really, I knew how to do everything on it, none the less, I hated taking it. I felt as if I was under a microscope looking for any fault in my actions. I will say my hands are dying from all of the sanitizer. Needless to say I passed with an 80%- but passing is passing so I'll take it. Thank you for all the prayers, good thoughts, and good vibes in my behalf of taking these, I sincerely appreciate them all.

On another note - Little miss is going to be changed to little MESS. We were skyping Branden and she left the room for a bit - silly me thinking she was playing with her toys - I look out the study room door and there is a pile of dirt and dirty little hands and a grin looking back at me. - I forgot to take a picture of the culprit but this is whats left of the mess before I realized I should take a picture.

She also keeps getting into the dog food and trying to eat it. Last week when we told her not to eat it she took it to her grandma. Then when to the food bucket, pulled out more and took it to grandma. She is such a little helper - she loves to help with the dishwasher and laundry.

Lately she will randomly just lay on the floor and laugh or drink her bottle.

If there had been toilet paper on that roll, it would now be on the floor. she's so curious.

She is like her mommy, and will pick up a book anywhere and read- for example - under her highchair.

Last week Brittney gave us a thing to have Peri's pictures at Kiddie Kandids in the mall. Now Peri has never had her pictures done somewhere like that so I was a little nervous for how she would do and she was so good. After setting the the appointment for her pictures we did a little shopping and got Peri some really cute things. Brittney picked out and got Peri the cutest outfit, so I thought "it's her picture thing, lets put her in the outfit she gave her" I'm so glad I did. Peri looked absolutely adorable - My favorite are the boots -

During the shoot we were using a rubber ducky to get her smile, so the photographer asked if we wanted to do some tub shots. Of course, we thought that'd be fun so we put the miss in just her diaper and took some fun pictures. I love the one where she is holding the lotion - it's like she's advertising it.

13 months

Wow the last month has flow past with how crazy busy we have all been. Peri is a little sasafrase with the biggest personality. She is into anything and everything. On a daily basis she pulls things out of the cupboard such as dog food, canned chicken, ramen noodles, karo syrup and crackers. Pulls out the cookie cutters, and pulls all the books off the shelves. She also L O V E LOVES outside. and constantly asks to go out. I think it's my favorite thing she says lately. That and Quack. It's the most adorable thing. As we speak she is trying to get to the fireplace and just tells us no no no. Her other new thing is saying "oh si, si". This one is always good for a giggle - Oh I love my munchkin so much I can't wait to come home from school and see her everyday. She is such a bucket of fun and we're so happy and lucky to have her in our lives. The other fun new things she does is saying "oooo ahh"

This is what we do all day- we play peek - a - boo, blow kisses, read books, snuggle blankets, lay on the floor, look at pictures, skype Branden, play outside, swing, see the dogs, take naps, watch movies or tv, eat, play with toys, make messes, and give and get many many giggles. Peri truly is the light of our lives and we are so grateful to have her in our family. We love you Miss P.

Ah it's been a minute since my last post and Peri is quite the spit fire - just seconds ago she said "I see you" to grandpa and when he replied "I see you too"my little sassy pants said - "No Duh"

Where she got that I am not quite sure but this little cutie is just full of it some days- She has taken to sticking her finger UP her nose and when you tell her to take it out she does but only long enough to shove it up the other hole or in her mouth. Naturally we are trying to put the kabosh on that now.

She still loves outside and will whisper " outside" over and over and look ever so longingly out the window.

She loves the dogs and says " Sage, sit" in her cute little way and gets so giggly when watching them out the window

Peri has always loved music but now when it's on she jams and dances

This little one has been learning and doing so many new things but I have 2 favorite new things she does - quack -like a duck- (it is darling to hear her say, I'm working on recording it but she never does it for the camera) and she's developed an obsession with sunglasses. She loves wearing them or putting them on her head - I gave her a few pairs of old ones and she's always putting them on. The other day I came in the living room and she was doing this -

Peri has such a fun personality and it seems like she's not a baby anymore, she's a little girl. I can't wait to see what this next year brings us and to see what she'll learn to do next.

We have had the greatest time celebrating Peri's birthday. So much, that we did it 3 times!

Its tradition in our family when we have a 1st birthday that after the first dig in by the birthday girl the rest of the kids get a fork and get to dig in. Makes the whole experience more fun. In this case Peri tried to help feed it to Maggie. We also had Steph and Cody come to our house and I wish I had taken a pic of them with Miss P, (I guess that means they need to come visit, hint hint) It was so fun to go down and see our friends and family. My mom is a great host and we love spending time with them. We did a lot more with my fam but thats another post.

The next morning we met up with some of my high school friends and their kids at the splash pad for Peri's little friend party. We had Alla & Kohen, Xander & Sammie, Ashley & Jayda, and Brielle, Molly and Maggie. Peri and the others seemed to have fun and they all seemed to love their cupcakes we had. It was so fun to see everyone and let our kids play. Thanks again for coming guys.

Oh TOOOOODLES - before he was smashed

Sunday was the Miss's actual birthday, but Friday we took her to Pei Wei and Whinnie the Pooh. Sunday she came into nursery with me and loved playing, then after a nap we opened presents, ate a delicious dinner (thanks Branden) and had some cake. I did her smash cake -toodles- and Branden did the minion. Since Peri loves both things it worked out perfect. As far as the smash cake experience, lets just say I took her right up for a bath she was soooo messy. I love this little munchkin so much and loved celebrating her birthday. - I'll post her stats and what not as soon as she gets done at the docs and we take her 1 yr pictures. Thanks for celebrating with us!

This year we decided to put Peri into swimming lessons to get her used to the idea and she could learn some things like how to blow bubbles. I'm so glad we did, not only will it come in handy when we move to AZ but she absolutely loves to water. She gets so excited and can't wait to get in when we go to the pool, and cries when we leave. She is quite the little fish too. Peri is probably the youngest one in her class from the looks of it and she's the only girl. But the boys are so nice and give her lots of attention. She even made a new friend during lessons. His name is Zander, and his mom is Shay, he is just a week older then Peri so they are more ob the same level for swimming. We're excited for this week when they come over for a play date with Peri, and my friend Kadee's little boy Dexter. I'll be sure to post on that but until then enjoy my little fish.....

Oh man this month has been full of fun. I feel so behind in posting, so here is a quick recap of what we've been up -

We took Peri to Lagoon, she LOVED the carousel and would cry if we took her off.

Liked riding the train around the zoo in Lagoon, she would point to the animals

Naps are a necessity even at a fun theme park (if you consider Lagoon a theme park)

She slept the whole way home, she was so gone that when we got home I changed her diaper and put her in bed with out her even moving.

That same weekend we met some of our St George friends at the Aquarium. Alla and I have been friends since 5th grade, it's fun to watch our kids play together now. Peri loved the shark tank and would pull her hands up and say "whoa" when they would swim past.

We got our bountiful basket and a box of doughnut peaches that Peri so graciously helped unload them.

I cut my hair, and added the purple again, just one more time.

Peri shared her love for books with us as she pulled them all off the shelf. (this was the first time, now it's an almost daily occurrence.) Oh how I just love this little nugget and the silly things she does.

We also went to St George, had a few birthday parties, ate lots of ice cream, and did swimming lessons. Those posts will be coming soon, until then, enjoy your self some Rainbow Fish

There's Nothing Like....

The 4th of July. We has such a great weekend. (not all of my pics would load so

thats unfortunate) Anyhow, Friday we took Peri to see Cars 2, we spent plenty of time wandering around the theater - we're going to try Winnie the Pooh at the drive in- Saturday we took Peri swimming, she absolutely loved it, -I'll find my little camera to take pictures of swimming lessons- Sunday we went to the playground at the school up the street - these are the pics I'm missing- and today we closed out weekend with a BBQ, Ice cream, and fireworks. I love this new firework laws, the whole neighborhood unknowingly put on a fantastic show due to our awesome home placement. Peri loved the fireworks and continually shouted AGAIN when they would stop. She would also oooooh and awe as she watched, SO cute! She has also begun to point at things, as well as say "thank you" and "cheese" at all the right times. Such a smart little thing. We also can't go through the day without watching Despicable Me at least 3 times. Oh I love this little thing and that we are so lucky to have the privilege to raise her in the Land of the Free, we are so grateful for those past and present that help to keep it that way. How truly lucky we are. On that note, until next time...

We all scream for ice cream. but first remember that last post when I said maybe Peri would decide she wanted to walk.... Well decide she did, my baby keeps taking more and more steps. Of course it is only on her terms but non-the-less she can still do it. The first time she did it she thought it was the funniest thing. Such a smart little one she is. The video is short so I'll try to get more when she does it more often.

Now for some fantastically fun first ice cream CONE photos of the miss. On our way home last night we picked up shakes at Arctic Circle and Peri got her very own kiddie cone, and loved it. Before we even got home the ice cream was gone, so we took her out back and she posed for the camera.

This sweet little thing loves the camera and if you hold it up and tell her to say cheese she will say it and smile for you. Now when she sees the camera she always says cheese. AH I just love this adorable face, it just makes my day.

11 Months!!

I can't believe it, Peri is 11 months old! She is becoming so grown up and learns something new everyday. I absolutely L O V E being a mommy, especially to someone as sweet and special as our little miss. Before I tell about whats new with Peri, I'll explain the videos. The first one is just a small taste of what Peri can do on the spot. She Literally thinks everyone growls because she gets told no to crawling into the fire place. The second video is something she does daily with her books, although normally its not growling but babbling as she's "reading"

She loves to be outside, seeing the dogs, and swinging.
Favorite food - big people food - but recently discovered ice cream and LOVES it

Loves - violet, any stuffed animal, pulling things out of her toy bucket - diaper bag- back pack,

Peri also loves books. I love watching her turn the pages and look at it and then babble as if she's reading it. She also loves to pull them all off the shelve onto the floor so she can choose from a greater variety. She takes one off the shelf looks at it and goes back for another, eventually she just pulls it all down.

Swimming - when my mom was in Park City we took Peri swimming for the first time, she LOVES it.
So we filled up her pool and she has a blast playing in it. We're going to do mommy and me
swimming lessons before we move to Arizona.

Singing - I know it's not really words but at times our little munchkin is babbling in such away it seems
she's singing. Not only

Dancing - Peri loves to dance whenever there is music on she's moving
Clapping - especially if other people do it - like on tv- or if we say yay when she does something
clever. and if you sing "if your happy and you know it"
She's still only has 2 bottom tooth, 1/2 a top tooth (it broke through but won't finish coming down)
and another top tooth that keeps going up and down
She hates getting her nose wiped, coming back inside, when something gets taken away, going to bed

This little one is such a special addition to our lives and I wouldn't trade her for anything. Even though she has her moments, a smile and a giggle later whatever she's done is forgotten. Did I mention she's a total daddies girl? I think it is the sweetest thing, she's always saying daddy to Branden, or if she gets upset she just says "daddy" over and over again and gets the biggest smile when he comes in the room. ADORABLE little thing that she is. I just love her to pieces and can't wait to see what she does next. Maybe she'll try out walking all by herself. She can do it if she holds onto something, even if its just a finger, but she's got great balance and can stand for a long time by herself, and squats down. Like I said Adorable.

When we move Peri finally get her own room. I am so excited to be able to decorate her room. These are just a few things I've got for it. The colors will be pink, black, gray and white.

Welcome Spring

I love when she does this, She can walk if she's holding onto something, and she gets so excited with this toy. It's adorable!

Well it's finally here, SPRING. I know it's June but it's not consistently warm enough to be called summer quite yet. This last week we had some fun with my family up in Park City, I'm waiting on my disc of pictures from Brielle to post about it. Anyway we had a lot of fun with them, although Peri is going through this phase where if she hears my voice She has got to be touching me or at least able to see me or she cries. It's all very sweet and lovely that she loves her mommy so much, but sometimes I just have to let her cry so I can go to the bathroom. Well yesterday it was so nice in the evening that we took Peri outside to swing (check out the swing Branden built for her) on the deck. We also let the dogs up to see Peri, well she had to go down to Sage so Sage wouldn't jump on her, but boy does she love those guys. She always gets so excited and happy when she sees them while she's eating. It's so fun to watch her with them. Eventually we'll get a dog, after we move, get settled, and figure out if we'll really be home and have the time to take care of it. Until then I will just keep wishing for one. In the meantime enjoy these lovelies of my lovely miss.

Slides and Swings

See Peri's new trick. She dances

Well, another week has gone by and we've got to do some fun new things with the miss. On Monday since we didn't work we went to a BBQ and then took Peri to the park. Yeah she's been to a park before but last time it didn't have swings. As swings are my favorite park amenity we thought it appropriate to take her to one with swings. They also had a lot of slides at said park, but it had rained the day before so some of them had puddles at the bottom so P couldn't go down them. She loved both the swings and the slides and was not a happy camper when we had to leave. Luckily its been nice weather lately so Branden could get the stain on her new swing, it should be ready soon. Branden's parents also saved a fun plastic slide in their basement and thought they'd bring it up. She loves it and has now learned to climb up it. Last night we went to target and found these fun balls. We brought them home and made a ball pit for Peri. Today we put the bottom of the slide into the ball bit so she can slide into it. It's so fun to watch her enjoy such little things so much.

My Little Monkey

Well its official, Peri has become a little monkey. I know I've said before that she just loves to climb on everything but lately she has taken it to the max. This little brainiac will move her toy cube over to her table stand on the cube then try to climb onto the table so she can get on top of the t.v. She also has tried to climb up her baby gate, climbs onto her picnic table, and can climb onto the couch all by herself. Seeing as she is such a monkey I have been worried about her climbing out of her crib. Well, two nights ago, a sickening thud and horrendous tears later my fears had been confirmed. Think she'd learn a lesson with a fall like that but sure enough playing in her crib later she attempted the climb several more times. Confused with how she had done it that night Branden watched her attempts, with her feet against the slats she just pulled herself up and over. Clever little thing my monkey. Not wanting to wake up to that awful scene again we decided maybe she'd be safer in a toddler bed. With a late night run to Walmart and an hour or two of work her crib was down and her new bed up. She seems to really like it and will stay in it. I think the crib was maybe intimidating with the bars but she appears to be much happier in her new big girl bed. Its also nice because if she wakes up at night I can lay by her in her bed until she falls back to sleep and then she won't be afraid of it. Not to mention she can get out of it without hurting herself.

p.s. Peri has also found the art of opening cupboards and can reach her arms up and hit piano keys. Crazy the things she can do and what a big girl she seems to be already.

Wow, our little munchkin is 10 months old. I can't believe how the time has flown by. I can't believe how big Peri has gotten, and we can't imagine life without her. She has the sweetest personality and is the happiest little thing. Here is what she is upto:

We took her on her first big trip to Disney Land and for all the craziness a vacation entails she did amazing.
Peri has no determined favorite baby food, but LOVES to eat big people food. Her favorite is cinnamon toast.
A few of her favorite things lately are - Mickey Mouse Clubhouse - she freaks out whenever it comes on
loves walking her scooter - she cries when she runs out of room
Climbing the stairs
loves the bottoms of her daddy's shoes
Books - can turn the pages
climbs on EVERYTHING
loves baths and playing with a wash cloth

Peri even had her own plane ticket

We had such a fun time on our trip. It was so fun to have Branden's parents and Brittney join us on our adventure. As there is a picture overload I won't tell a ton about it as you can see for yourself. We flew in Thursday and went to Seal Beach - it was a little chilly and the water was freezing so we didn't bother with swim suits. The next 3 days we spent at Disney Land and California Adventure. Seeing Peri with Mickey made the entire trip worth it. I wish I'd gotten it on video because it was adorable and the magic that Disney Land is all about was there. We flew home Sunday and have been back to work and school since. What a great trip to take as a last hoorah with the Jorgensens before our big move.

Isn't it fun to have Birthdays. Well lucky us Branden and I have close birthdays, mine being 2 weeks ago and his being TODAY! Thats right, getting old over here Branden is now 23. He says he's had a good day so I'm going to take his word for it because I was at school most the day. He came up and got a back facial during my lunch and then went climbing with his dad. For dinner we went to this hip new place called Fin & Norahs with Branden's family. I had the most delicious ribs, Peri ate some big kid food (chicken) and Branden had the Prime Rib. Then we hit up WalMart to pick something up for school tomorrow and a couple more things for our trip, such as a princess dress for our little princess. He opened presents and liked everything he got (because we know him so well). Then we lit the cake and he and Peri blew out the candles - she was mesmerized by the flames. Now we're just hanging out watching T.V. with the family.

On a side note, Peri is a crazy little one. She has taken to pushing her scooter around, and when it gets to fast for her she runs on her toes to catch up, before she has to let go. She climbs onto everything! nothing is safe, she even climbs onto my school books to try to climb onto the couch or toy chest. She is also curious about everything, including the diapers in the diaper box that she loves to look in and pull over, as well as her big toy tote. One of my favorite thing she does is GROWL. O man does she growl. It was so hard not to bust up laughing during sacrament yesterday when she would not stop growling. It was so cute. She also waves Hi and Bye bye and when you tell her too. She also loves going into the front room and play the piano, and is amazingly fast at climbing up the stairs. I will have to get a new video of it because she is so quick. This weekend we are going to DisneyLand and I think Peri will just love it, I'll post about it all after, until then enjoy this little munchkin -

I get that Mothers Day was yesterday, but I may have mentioned before, I'm a little behind. I thought for mothers day I would tribute some wonderful mommies I know and love. First is my mom.

MOM - You have taught me so much about being a mom, hard work, and just life in general. I can never thank you enough for the things you sacrificed for our family, and the desire you have to see your children succeed. You are an amazing mother and a wonderful grandmother. Even though it isn't often we get to see you, Peri just lights up when she see's you, and your one of the few people she'll actually talk to on the phone. We love you so much.

Jeannine - Wow, I can't even begin to thank you for all you have done for our little family, from letting us live here to watching Peri everyday. You truly are amazing. You raised Branden to be a wonderful husband and father and for that I can never thank you enough. You are so great with Peri and it's so fun to watch you play with her, and she loves you so much. I'm so glad to be done with work so I can really enjoy the rest of the time we have here with you guys. We love you so much

Brielle - You are such an example to me with how great of a mom you are to your girls. I love that I can call you all the time for advice on things to do for/with Peri. And how you reassure me when I'm not sure if I'm doing things right. I love having you as a big sister and that there is so much love for Peri in your house. We love you guys.

Peri - I know you are not a mommy yet, but on day you will be. Thank you for choosing me to be your mommy. Thank you for the snuggles at night, the smiles when I walk in the room, even the crying when I leave ( it makes me feel good that you miss me as much as I miss you). Thanks for putting up with my always being at work, and waiting up for me to get home. I love your smiles, and cute little giggles. You really are my sunshine and our family wouldn't be complete with out you. I really do love being your mommy.

Last Thursday was my 23 birthday, and it was such a fun day. I was lucky enough to have the day off of work, spend time with some friends, and even more time with my family. In the morning I had to go to school, but my friend McCall brought a cake and had everyone sign a card, and then I got a personal card and cupcakes from Melissa. For lunch McCall bought at Zupa's. Then we went back to school and got a homemade mask facial and a back facial. When I got home Peri and I hung out until everyone was home and off we went to PF Changs for dinner. It was delicious. Afterward we came home and opened presents. This is just a few of the things I got.... A new Red Bike, Oliver & Company, the Aristocats, a Waxing kit, Kevyn Aucoin makeup books, an outfit and . All in all it was a fantastic day.

Easter

Well, it would seem I have gotten a few posts behind but here we go on catching up. For Easter we were so lucky we got to go to St George to see my family. My friend Sammie took Branden and I's family pictures and made extra time to take some of the 3 little girls. And some adorable ones of just Peri. Wanna see... click HERE for a sneak peek. That night we went to dinner with some old friends, their hubby's and their kids. It was so fun to catch up with everyone. Saturday we spent with my family and that evening we had a big family BBQ and Egg hunt in my mom's backyard. It was fun to see people we haven't seen in a long time, I love getting Peri so she can see everyone once in awhile. On our way home on Sunday I had to go to the bathroom when we hit Scipio, upon stopping we made a fantastic discovery, Scipio has a petting zoo! We decided to let Peri out of the car and see the animals. It was a great break from the ride.

Wow, I can't believe P is 9 months old all ready. She has gotten such a fun sweet personality that loves to be the star of the show and have people around at all times. She seems to get bigger and more fun every single day. I LOVE spending time with her, and even more with her and Branden at the same time. He is such a good daddy and it's adorable to watch them together. Here's what she is up to these days :

SUNSHINE! Peri loves being outside and was continually looking longingly outside with her face pressed against the door. So I put a jacket on P, grabbed some toys and went outside. It was so nice to have some sunshine and let Peri play outside. She is getting used to the idea of grass and is more willing to crawl on it. We had fun taking out toys and playing in the yard. I also helped Peri to discover the art of rolling down a grassy hill. I would hold her as we rolled down an she would tuck her head down and just laugh the whole way down. You can't really hear her on the video, but it was pretty cute to listen to. I just love that sweet little laugh.

Can it just stay nice weather and stop raining/snowing. Can it just be Easter weekend so we can go to St George. Can it just be my birthday so Branden will have his Bachelors in Exercise Science. Can it be Branden's birthday week so we can go to Disney Land. Can it just be June and Park City time. As one can see there are several things in the next little while that I am so excited and anxious to do. BUT I should look at whats going on now and not whats going to be going on. While I'm super excited for the future months ahead, I want to focus on the present. Right now my world is all about my family, school, and work. I absolutely love school and the things we get to do every day, At work I really like working in the backroom and the job I am doing. NOW my most favorite focus... my family. O man, I am so so so proud of Branden and his up coming graduation and entrance to grad school. He works so hard for Peri and I and I love him more and more every day. Little miss Peri. This little nugget has our entire household wrapped around her littlest fingers. She brings such joy and laughter into our lives and things are so much better with her here. I can't imagine life without her. The pictures are from the past week. The ones from outside are from Monday, it was so fun to take her outside in the wagon.

MAKEUP DAY

Well, I haven't posted anything about school yet, so now is the time. On Monday it was makeup evaluations and it had to be fantasy makeup or something you wouldn't see every day. These are the creations the girls came up with. It was really fun to see the cleverness of the class, and be able to think outside the box. I decided for my creation to go rather far out of the box and created this lovely tree.

Wow! Peri is 8 months old as of yesterday. I can't believe this little one has been here that long. Or should I say I can't believe how fast the time has gone. She has the sweetest little personality and loves everyone around her. There are moments that I just feel like such a proud mom when she does little things that are really a big deal to me. On Wednesday she climbed up 5 stairs all my herself (Branden stood behind her incase she fell back.) I was so proud of my sweet little thing. This is what my munchkin can do :

Crawl up the stairs
Crawl around the house
Yell - if you do something she doesn't want you to, watch out
Growls-
Stand and pull herself up when holding onto something
Still in a size 2 diaper
wearing 6-12 months or 9 months clothes - sometimes 6 months
She loves fresh bananas, strawberries, mangos
Most of the time she eats a 2 in baby food, but sometimes she'll eat a 3
No longer needs a bottle to fall asleep
she can sleep in her own bed all night but will only do it sometimes

Well after hearing a very disappointing weather report that it was going to snow AGAIN tomorrow, I just had to ask, Summer are you there? Are you ever going to get here. I know I shouldn't be so lustful for summer when next summer we're going to be living in the hotness of Arizona, but I'm ready for summer, or even just more of the gorgeous spring weather we're all craving a piece of. In light of desires for warmer weather I just had to post a few pictures of Peri in her NEW fantastic swimming suit we got her from Naartjie ( yes, I put it on her when we got home to make sure it'd fit. She just looked so cute, I had to snap a few pictures)

Last weekend was so fun. I hadn't started school yet and after Friday I didn't have to work again until Tuesday. So on to the fun weekend we went. Saturday we got to go out to Disney on Ice. It was fantastic. We watched Mickey and the gang, along with villains and princesses, they went on vacation to Hawaii with Lilo & Stitch, China with Mulan, to New Orleans with Tiana & Prince Navene. It ended with a Christmas with Toy Story. It was so fun and Peri rather enjoyed watching with all the color and lights. After the Ice show, we went to Gateway to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner. I love their Thai Crunch Salad. Peri did really well and just ate her puffs while sitting in a big, little kid highchair. It was so nice to have a night out. Brittney and Jeannine came with us as well, They were just getting fun treats when we were taking the picture of us at the show.

Just Another

Day at the Park. Today was absolutely beautiful (aside from a little windy). It was an amazing 67 degrees (I only realized it went down after I took the picture, but I was so excited I needed proof of the awesome warmness of the day)

I've been wanting to take Peri to the park for awhile and today was finally nice enough. I took her to a place just down the road from our house in hopes that they'd have swings. Alas, my hopes were dashed and the park was swingless.

Not to spoil our good weather I got her out of the car anyway and let her try the slides. She LOVED it, oh the giggles she gave. I didn't let her go down totally by herself because she is still a little small, so instead I set her down and just held her hand as she slid. It was so cute, when I'd take her off to go again she'd burry her head in my shoulder and just giggle. The mix between wind and fun slidiness made for some great fun for her and I.

I'm so glad we finally had a good weather day and if its nice again on Saturday we're going to find another park that will hopefully have some swings. This time Branden will get to join us. Here's to hoping the weather man has good news.

Change of Plans

Well, life is full of little surprises and lots and lots of change. Well being that funny little thing in life called change there has been a change in my leaving Victoria's Secret.... Yes, I'm no longer going to be the Emerging Concepts Supervisor, but now I will be the Backroom Supervisor. I'm so excited for this new position I'll be in. Now it means I will be in the back room getting stuff ready to go out onto the floor. keeping things organized, and getting ready for floor changes. I can't wait to start my new backroom adventure. I also start school a week from tomorrow and am very happy with the decision we made to have me go back to school.

Another funny little change is with our little miss. My mom got Peri an Easter dress, well Easter isn't until close to the end of April. The dress is size 9 months and ADORABLE. Well Peri has quite a long torso so I decided to put it on her for church today. Well, I'm sure glad I did, aside from her screaming the entire time I was getting her dressed, she looked like a little princess, BUT I'm glad she got to wear it today because if we'd waited until Easter it would probably fit her like a shirt. There is a lot of Diet at our house. Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, and Diet Mountain Dew - ever notice that diet drinks all come in a silver can? Well Peri has and that shiny silver is magnetic to her attention, the other day I got a drink and she kept trying ot get to it so I gave her her own shiny can to play with. She enjoyed the coolness of the cold can on her tongue and kept licking it and playing with it on the floor. Today there was an empty can on the floor and I just had to record her with it. As she can inch worm around the room she would get to it and it would roll away from her, naturally she would keep inching around trying to catch it. Thankfully the video camera was nearby. This gave me quite the laugh - Enjoy

That's right, we HAVE to pick up the floor. It's not longer an option (not that we needed to anyway, but now we def can't leave stuff on it) Peri is MOBILE! Little one is all over the place. We can no longer leave computer cords on the floor without tucking them far under the couch because they will end up in her mouth. A few of her favorite floor finds are - socks, she loves to put her socks in her mouth after she's taken them off, - binki, she is getting so good at actually putting it in the right way. - toys, she loves her toys and finding them is like finding treasure. - toothbrush, she has her own toothbrush she will leave on the floor then will find it and play with it and put it in her mouth. - books, she loves her books and its so cute when she tries to hold them up herself (I'll put it on my list of pictures I need to take of her because she does it all the time) A more recent find for her is our TOES - she gives them such a puzzling look and tries to pick them up. Her favorite place to be is in her toy corner, as you can see she's pretty content with all her things right there.

My o my has time just flown by! My little nugget is 7 moths old today. She is just so wonderful and the greatest thing in our lives. It is amazing to be her mom and watch her getting bigger and hit milestones. It is also so wonderful to watch Branden with her. He is such a great daddy and has so much love for this little one. This is what little miss is getting into:

Weight - probably around 17ish lbs

Fav food - carrots and now squash with apples and grains
She's eating stage 2 foods and random pieces of bread or crackers here and there

Size 2 diapers

still fits in 6 month clothes but jammies are 6-9

favorite toys - baby dolls, anything musical, the jumper, violet, and anything she can put in her mouth

Silly little things - playing with spools of ribbon, yelling until someone talks to her, laughs when she feels wind on her face. gets on hands and knees to crawl and dives forward. starts at one place in the room and will scoot backward or roll (whatever she needs) to get to another place.

This is one of her new tricks, before she dives forward or scoots back, she gets so mad she cant to forward yet.

Peri also loves going outside. A big smile comes on and her face lights up whenever we go anywhere. I can't wait until it gets warmer and we can take her to parks and just play outside.

Well this week worked out really well with my work schedule other then working all day long on Valentines Day. Tuesday I got off work at 2:00, picked up Peri, ate lunch with Branden and headed down to St George to get a new transfer case on the jeep. Wednesday my mom took the day off work and we played all day long. It started with a trip to Kohls in the morning, just my mom, Peri, and I.

getting all the kids to look at the camera at the same time and smiling is no easy task.

After Kohls we met up with Brielle and her girls Molly and Maggie, Aunt Jill, Marissa with her kids - Maddox, Vann, and Bria. (they have never met Peri, and Marrissa has only seen her once just after she was born.) Anywho we met them at Olive Garden and 6 little ones at Olive Garden seemed like a scary idea they all did very well. After that our adventure took us to Sweet tooth fairy for some delicious cupcakes. Up next

we all drove out to Hurricane just by SandHollow to see the house Marissa decorated for the St George homeshow. It is beautiful and she really did such a great job. We then left the Sevy/Thompsons and continued on our journey, we dropped Brielle off to get her car and drove over to the shop to pay the guy who fixed my car. Our journey then took us to the jewelry store (one of my favorite places to shop) and over to Pasta Factory.

After a long day we finally headed back to my moms, Peri was exhausted and after a little more playing with cousins they left and she crashed. This morning we got up and headed back to our cold home up north. It was so fun to spend the day with my mom and sister but it is also very nice to be home. It's to bad I have to work tomorrow or we may have been able to stay longer... Well, maybe next time we can play some more with our friends.

It's good to be home. Peri and I missed Branden. Not to mention there's nothing like sleeping in your own bed.

Being that today is LOVE day, I wanted to post about some of the things I am loving right now. I don't have pictures of everything but I do of most of all the best things. I Love my little Peri, she is the absolute light of our lives. It is amazing to be a mom and I love every minute of it. I wouldn't trade this little one for anything in the world.

The next is Branden. He is my very best friend and I love him more then anything. He's the best thing to ever happen to me and I would be completely lost without him. I am so proud of him for getting ready to graduate with his bachelors and getting into grad school. He takes such great care of Peri and I, he'd do anything for us, and I'd do anything for him. I'm such a lucky girl to get to spend eternity with this amazing person.

Family. O man how I love our families, I had to post 2 pictures of mine because one was missing little miss Maggie. I really do love living with the Jorgensens, it's so nice to always have someone around to talk to. I also LOVE to go visit my family. It's so great to see the love for Branden, Peri, and I that is all around us. It's so fun that everyone gets to help watch Miss Peri grow up, be it pictures or in person. I love each and everyone of them and so happy that they're all apart of our lives.

Things I love that aren't pictured:

The Gospel - everything it does and brings into our lives

The Temple - how it feels when we go and the work we're able to do for others

Education - that Branden and I are able to go to school to better ourselves and provide for our future

Jobs - that we are able to work and provide for our family

Our cars - we officially own the blue car! and the jeep and the places they take us

Friends - even though we don't get to see them often it's always so fun when we do
